Calver.

Founded by British designer and pattern-maker Sophie Calver, Calver is home to a family of elegant prints with personality and purpose.

Juxtaposing the delicate romances of the English countryside with the lively expressions of city living, Calver’s contemporary patterns invite warm nostalgia and whimsical motifs to recount in their own language encounters, memories and tales of the natural world.

Process

Inspired by the places and people special to Sophie, each design is hand-drawn, hand-cut and hand-printed by Sophie herself. Whether adorning curtains, lampshades, cushions or headboards, every Calver collection is characterised by its proud imperfections and distinct charm.

About Sophie

Sophie studied fashion design before beginning her career in luxury fashion, working for The Row in New York and Roland Mouret in London. It was here she found her love for high-quality fabrics and began to explore pattern design for interior homewares and fabrics. Sophie later worked in marketing for a global brand design agency, where she honed her understanding of the importance of uniting identity, purpose and product in design.

At Calver, Sophie applies all she’s learnt to create luxury interior homewares for style-savvy audiences. Appreciating the specialness of the home, each Calver piece is designed to enrich people's houses with beautiful, eye-catching fabrics and interior homewares, designed to be cherished and last a lifetime.

Sustainability

The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry after the oil and gas sector. Working in the world of fabrics and manufacturing, our team is passionate about taking the best steps possible across the entire production process. From design to materials to packaging, we ensure that we’re working with partners close to home in London, Dorset and the rest of the UK to protect the planet. Currently, cushion covers and fabrics are all made-to-order to ensure every piece has a loving home.

"Patterned textiles in interiors instantly give a room personality, character and a special aesthetic that make a place feel like home." – Sophie Calver.
